Libraries of the Department of educational science, cultural heritage and tourism
MAIN REFERENCES
The Libraries of the Department of educational science, cultural heritage and tourism, like all the other library structures of the University of Macerata, are part of the University Library System (SBA), which was established with Rectoral Decree no. 1231 dated 4-11-2004, with the aim of providing academic users with a high level of integrated and homogeneous services.
The Luigi Bertelli library pole was established with Rectoral Decree 441 dated 2 August 2012 and includes the Educational Science and Training Library, the Cultural Heritage Library and the Library of the Documentation and research centre on the history of the school book and children’s literature. (CESCO).
It also has an extensive reading room with 112 work stations and numerous access points for portable PCs, Wi-Fi networks and three connections to the University network.
The entire library heritage is catalogued and the bibliographical information is available on the local OPAC and in the national SBN catalogue (National Library Service).
Access to the libraries is open to:
- internal users, that is, those associated with the University of Macerata (teachers, students, phD students, research fellows, technical-administrative staff, collaborators, Erasmus students, etc.), who can use all the services offered by the libraries;
- external students who can use all the services offered by the Libraries upon presentation of a guarantee, that is an authorisation document as a form of guarantee for the library.

The library services are suspended 15 minutes prior to the closing time and for the whole month of August.
