Doctoral Theses
Doctoral Theses archive
The Theses Archive stores all the Doctoral Theses discussed at the University of Macerata since the Academic Year 1993/94 (cycle 5). Up to 2010 (cycle 23.) the theses were stored on hard copy; beginning from 2012 (cycle 25) they were stored exclusively on a soft copy. To manage the transition from analogical to electronic, the theses discussed relative to cycle 24, are stored in a hybrid form, that is, on paper and files. The consultation methods vary according to the storage format.
Thesis in hard copy
The catalogue is accessible through the university Opac.
Searches can be carried out by author and/or title, or also by inserting the key words doctoral thesis Macerata in the “Free search” field, selecting University Didactics from the libraries menu; this will provide a complete list of all the theses inserted.
Consultations can take place at the offices of the University Didactics Library from Monday to Friday from 8.30 a.m. to 7.15 p.m. and on Saturdays from 9.00 a.m. to 12.45 p.m.
For consultation purposes, it is important to pay attention to the note that accompanies the localisation of each thesis. It is not possible to borrow any texts and any type of reproduction is also prohibited.
Theses in soft copy
The catalogue is accessible through the digital institutional archive U-PAD (Unimc - Open Digital Publications) and it contains not only a catalogue description and abstract but also the full text of thesis.
Consultation therefore comes about online through U-PAD.
Given that not all theses can be consulted, it is a good idea to pay attention to the additional information that accompanies the catalogue description of each.
We would inform users that paper cataloguing commenced in April 2013 and is pending completion. For information about doctorate theses discussed prior to 2012, please speak to the library personnel on duty at the University didactics library.
